The complete assembling hydraulic actuator ELMO-GM 17x8/35
PURPOSE: The hydraulic actuator ELMO-GM 17×8/35 is intended for subpressing of power transformers’ windings during service and repair works.
The hydraulic actuator ELMO-GM 17×8/35 provides:
- required specific pressure on the transformer’s winding being subpressing with providing of exact calibration of necessary technological effort;
- holding (keeping) the winding in the tense state during the required time at the steady-state actuating force from the power hydrocylinders of the hydraulic actuator;
- choice of the technological effort required value which depends on pressure value and which is monitoring on a manometer.
Name ELMO-GM 17×8/35 interpretation:
ELMO - means wiring equipment;
GM - means assembling hydraulic actuator;
17 - technological effort created by one power hydrocylinder, t;
8 - number of the power hydrocylinders in the actuator;
35 - technological pressure in hydraulic system, MPa.
The hydraulic actuator ELMO-GM 17×8/35 contains a pump unit YG3e1/50-p1/50 (1 item on fig.1), 8 power hydrocylinders SGv 17/35 (8.1 - 8.8 items), 9 pump high pressure hoses RVD 6/40 (9.1 - 9.9 items) and distributing collector (7 item).
The pump unit contains both electric drive as main pump and embedded manual drive pump (2 item). This allows to provide exact technological effort in the hydraulic actuator.

The power hydrocylinder SGv 17/35
SGv - a power hydrocylinders with a forcing screw;
17 - rated operating effort, t;
35 - rated pressure, MPa;
Weight of the power hydrocylinder is 5 kg;
Piston stroke is 38 mm;
Thread of screw is 30 mm;
Tilt angle of back-up plate is 5о.
The power hydrocylinder structural features:
- The forcing screw placed in the piston lets do away the gap between the back-up plate of the hydrocylinder and an object.
- The power hydrocylinder equipped with floating bearing which leads to decreasing of radial loading on piston during off-axis loads.
- Concentric heat-treated riffles on the back-up plate surface protect load from sliding.
- The power hydrocylinder works in horizontal and vertical directions.
- The power hydrocylinder works from the pump unit with manual drive.
